Career Assessment Consultant
The Career Assessment Services Department is seeking an individual who is interested in becoming a Career Assessment Consultant to serve individuals with disabilities. Jobs duties require excellent writing skills, the ability to administer, score, synthesize and interpret vocational assessments and make recommendations to assist clients with meeting their vocational goals. This is a contractual position that may serve between 50-100 (or more) clients per year, throughout the state of Maryland. The actual assessment process takes 2-5 days, 4-6 hours a day, followed by generation of a report. Degree required and related experience is preferred. Pay is a percentage of billable fees, and based on experience and cases served. A personal vehicle is required, the ability to transport and lift items weighting up to 30lbs, computer, printer, cell phone and fax capability. Travel to state Division of Rehabilitation Services offices is also required. Case Coordinator- Mental Health
Baltimore and Howard County
Case Coordinator is needed in the Residential Mental Health Department’s Supported Living Program, to provide case management services to adults with chronic mental illness in Baltimore and Howard County area. Qualified candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as highly developed organizational and times management skills. Bachelor’s degree in psychology/related field with two years relevant experience required. One year mental health case management experience preferred.

Employment Consultant- Deaf Services
Columbia, MD
Humanim’s Deaf Services Department located in the Howard County area has openings for one energetic person to provide vocational services to deaf individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include, developing contacts in the business community to create potential employment sites for Deaf individuals, identifying potential employers, setting up job interviews for deaf individuals, supporting individuals throughout the job application process, and providing direct job coaching at the employment site. Position is full-time with benefits. Requires minimum of HS Diploma, and fluency in ASL. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. Sales/marketing background is a plus. Valid drivers license and use of personal vehicle is required.  

Manager of Admissions-workFirst Admissions

Humanim is currently seeking a full time Manager of Admissions for our Baltimore City Vocational Department. The Manager of Admissions is responsible for overseeing all Case Management and Job Support Services provided to adults funded through the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). The Manager will supervise a team of 3 Case Managers and 2 Job coaches and will provide effective recruitment for transitioning youth and adults for our Supported Employment and Day Programs. Other duties of the manager include overseeing all referrals, intakes, and discharges for the Baltimore City location. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, has the ability to multi-task and process high volume of paperwork, and a positive team player attitude. Qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree and /or minimum of 3 years related work experience, familiarity with DDA, a personal be vehicle and valid driver’s license. Supervisory experience is preferred.

SOS Site Coordinator- Baltimore City

This position will be responsible for coordinating all operations at one of the State On Success (SOS) Program’s Baltimore City Worksites. The SOS Program is an innovative program which assists high school students with disabilities in transition for high school to the world of work. As a Site Coordinator, duties include providing career assessments, job development, training, and recruitment. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively interact with DORS counselors, teachers, employers, students and family members consistently. Requirements include excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience working with youth with disabilities, the ability to excel in a fast paced environment, a personal vehicle, high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, although equivalent experience with be considered.

Mobile Crisis Team Counselor

The Mobile Crisis Team is searching for an addition to their team! The qualified candidate will have a Master’s degree and either LCPC or LCSW licensing and authorized to complete Emergency Petitions. Part-time shifts are available every Friday 5-11pm and every other Saturday 5-11pm.

Peer Support Specialist (PSS) –PRP Day Program

Office experience needed and must be able to multi-task, excellent phone skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel databases. Must be able to help supervise drivers, assist with driver’s schedules, databases, billing and filing. Current part-time position is becoming a full time position.

Triage Clinician (HCGH)

Humanim, Inc. is looking for licensed clinicians to join our psychiatry triage team.  Conduct mental health evaluations for ER patients at Howard County General Hospital.  Phone consultation with team psychiatrists and administrative support provided for dispositions. Ability to independently diagnose, eligible to bill Medicare and Medical Assistance, strong diagnostic skills-Excellent interdisciplinary communication. Required: LCSW-C, doctorate level (PhD, PsyD), or Advanced Practice Nurse.  PT overnight positions (on-call 5p-8am next day) available – preference for weekend shift availability.
